FAQs

What are these programs all about?

These programs are foundational, preparatory, and direction-giving program that sets students feet firmly on the path to learning Arabic language and Islamic studies. After the completion of the programs, the students are expected to be able to speak, write and read Arabic language, and have foundational knowledge of Fiqh, Hadith, Aqeedah and all other subjects listed in each of the levels in the programs. And then be able to further on their own or through the institute to pursue further knowledge.

If you wonder why the programs are scheduled to be covered in a short period and if they could be equivalent to going through the 9 years of studies in the local madaaris. Well, the sincere response is that it is an online program, so it has to be covered in a reasonably short time as the attention span of students today, especially for learning, has reduced drastically in the face of social media distractions and other worldly things. The Islamic knowledge must be spread regardless, so to make it easy and accessible to people, it must be time-reduced to allow them to acquire the knowledge easily in a reasonably allowable short period.

As to whether it can be compared to the local method of learning at Madaaris, well, it cannot be compared; the time-bound already tells the difference. We have only curated and selected the most important knowledge that will suffice you to understand those subjects and especially Arabic language to enable you to understand your religion and set you on the right track of knowledge for further pursuit of advanced knowledge. And in fact, if you are committed enough, with this kind of program, you can compete, to a certain level, with someone who has gone through the whole long years of studies in the local Madaaris, bi izhniLlah.

The programs; Idaadiyyah and Thaanawiyyah, each entails three levels or classes. The beginner level (Ibtidaa’ee/الإبتدائي), intermediate level (Mutawassit/المتوسط), and advanced level (الأعلى). We also have a preparatory level (At-tam’heediy) for those who cannot read the Qur’an yet.

Each program is a 9-month program with each level having a period of three months each. Although a session is roughly 4 months with the inclusion of assignments, research work, and breaks. So basically each program runs for 12 months.

Classes hold 3-4 times in a week and will be held within a reasonable and standard academic lesson period. The timetable will be released to students to see how the classes are held.

The lessons are held live and at a (GMT+1) time. So students from other countries should check the equivalent time in their countries. Students are allowed to message the administration if there’s a concern. The classes might be held 2 or 3 times in a day to give room for people from other countries to fit into any of those times for a life class. This is a possibility, not necessarily a condition that must be fulfilled. However, there is certainly going to be prerecorded lessons for each level and, of course, lesson notes to allow students to catch up with missed lessons and to read up on their own too. It will usually be an evening/night class because these are the times people are believed to be available

The classes are held on Google Meet or Zoom for now; however, every student will have a personal student profile on the website, where notes, assignments, and prerecorded lessons are found before and after the lessons. Students are expected to have gone through the materials before the lesson time.
